An almost 800 year old Hanseatic city welcomes you on the southern bank of the Baltic Sea. Even today, Rostock radiates Hanseatic size. Medieval churches and monasteries, Gothic gable houses, towers and city gates of a defensive city wall as well as memory and an extraordinary town hall have been preserved here over the centuries.
